Police look for suspects after man seriously injured in Norwalk shooting
Police in Norwalk say the victim of the Sunday shooting in broad daylight is still in the hospital being treated for his injuries, and police are still on the hunt for those responsible.
It happened around 11 a.m. on Plymouth Avenue.
According to neighbors, not only did the shooting happen in the middle of the day, but also right in the middle of the street. Some say they heard a few loud pops, but had no idea they'd be coming outside to a crime scene.
When police arrived on the scene, an 18-year-old man was on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds. The area was turned into a crime scene for several hours.
Neighbors are concerned, as they say this is a quiet neighborhood.
Police have not said yet what led up to the shooting or how many people were involved, but they are calling it an isolated incident.
Police are not releasing the name of the victim at this time, and no arrests have been made. They are working to get a better description of those responsible.
