Mom thanks Bridgeport police for finding missing son

BRIDGEPORT -

A local mom thanked Bridgeport police on Friday after her missing child was found safe by a police dog.

Quanda Madden reported that her 9-year-old son Steven was missing on Sunday.

Madden says her son occasionally suffers from episodes that cause him to run away from his family, which is what happened on Sunday.

Zeus, the 2-and-a-half-year-old German shepherd, was able to track the fourth-grader down by using one of his T-shirts as a "scene identifier."
