Veterans push for protective federal foreclosure laws

Veterans gathered Sunday to show their support for a federal law that would offer certain protections to vets facing foreclosure.
Sen. Blumenthal says he supported a new law already in place that offers vets facing foreclosure a one-year moratorium under certain circumstances.
He says that now, he is considering drafting a new measure - at the urging of this group and others - that would offer enhanced protections.
Protections include extending the moratorium, which is the amount of time veteran get to stave off foreclosure and possibly giving veterans in danger of losing their homes certain financial help.
