Norwalk police: 26-year-old man killed in drive-by shooting

A drive-by shooting left a young Norwalk man dead at 236 Ely Ave. Thursday night, police say.
Dispatchers received a call about shots fired around 8 p.m., according to authorities.
Officers arrived and found Johnny Lezeau, 26, with life-threatening injuries, they say. He was taken to the hospital where he later died.
Investigators say one or more suspects may have been in a car when they opened fire.
Police say they believe Lezeau was the intended target because there were other people in the area at the time, and none of them were shot.
Nathaniel Romero, an Ely Avenue neighbor, says he called 911 after hearing gunfire and ran outside.
"He was obviously incapacitated," Romero says of the victim. "We weren't even sure if he was alive."
Police are asking anyone with information on the shooting to contact them.
