Police in Fairfield say two arrests have been made after a rash of recent car thefts.

Police charged Douglas Lara, 19, of Waterbury, as well as a juvenile suspect, with stealing two different vehicles.

According to police, nearly three dozen cars have been stolen and another 100 broken into since April.

Police say in nearly every case, the cars had been unlocked with keys of remote starters left inside.
