PLYMOUTH -

The victim of a fatal crash in Plymouth has been identified as a Watertown High School student.

Vincent Cammarata, 17, died after a car accident just after midnight on Sunday on Town Hill Road and Cross Road.

Several people were packed into a Chevy Cobalt at the time of the crash. School officials say seven other current and former Watertown students suffered serious injuries.

Watertown High School Principal Paul Jones released a statement Sunday, saying, “Vinny was highly intelligent with an engaging personality, and he was definitely filled with great potential … He will certainly be missed by all who knew him."

Counseling services will be available for staff and students at the school Monday.
