DANBURY -

Stew Leonard's has pulled its imitation crab meat from the shelves after a customer at a store in Danbury reported finding metal shards in the product.

According to the company, while this appears to be an isolated incident, they are working to figure out how it happened.

Customers who purchased the imitation crab meat or Stew Leonard's seafood salad with a sell-by date of Aug. 12 can return the product for a full refund.
