Cheddar Morning Business Update 8/9: Disney to launch streaming service

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK -

Disney says it plans to pull all of its movies from Netflix and launch its own streaming service that will include exclusive content created just for the platform.

Disney is also said to be launching a video streaming service for ESPN.

While shares of Disney are lower after missing revenue expectations in the last quarter, Netflix shares are also down.

Meanwhile, Oprah is teaming up with Kraft Heinz on a new line of refrigerated soups and side dishes called “O That's Good!”

USA Today reports the products are expected to hit store shelves this week.

The line will be marketed as healthy versions of comfort food. Winfrey says she got the idea when trying to make herself a healthier version of cauliflower mashed potatoes.

JetBlue is planning to voluntarily take questions and complaints via text and Twitter through a new startup investment called “Gladly” amid its recent rating as the best airline this year by the American Customer Satisfaction Index.
