Little League team heads back to regional championship

The Fairfield American Little League team is back in the Eastern Regionals for the sixth time since 2010.

The team overcame a 3-0 deficit to beat Goffstown New Hampshire Wednesday.

The win means they will play in Saturday's regional championship for the right to go to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. 

Fairfield American won its first game Monday and was undefeated in postseason tournament play coming into Wednesday's game.

The team will play the winner of Thursday's semifinal between Maine and Vermont in the regional championship.
