Police, family seek public's help in solving Bridgeport homicide

Posted: Updated:
BRIDGEPORT -

Bridgeport Police Chief AJ Perez joined the family of a homicide victim Friday in asking for the public's help in bringing the killer to justice.

Police say 33-year-old Max Antoine, of Stamford, was leaving a Bridgeport restaurant and walking to his car when the fatal gunshots rang out. After an exhaustive four-month investigation, police say they can now say with certainty that Antoine was an innocent bystander in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Perez says he met with the family to bring them up to date on a complex investigation. He hopes that by standing together with them, somebody who can help police with their investigation will come forward.

For Wilner Joseph, the grief is still fresh, even four months later. He says his brother was a loving father who cherished the values of hard work and devotion to family.

Anyone with information is asked to call Bridgeport police.
