Summer Restaurant Weeks officially kicked off in Stamford.

Twenty-two different restaurants in the downtown area are offering special deals and menus for lunch and dinner until September 4.

The two-week event is presented by Stamford Tables and Stamford Downtown.

Many different types of cuisine are available for the restaurant weeks, including Italian!

"You can get pasta and pizza,” says Jasmin Villeda of Capriccio Café. “You can get salad or a bruschetta, anything you want really."

The Avon Theatre Film Center in Stamford is a co-sponsor of the event and anyone who participates will receive a coupon good for a free popcorn at the theater.
