Animal Control visited Stamford Friday after residents reported several aggressive turkeys in the area.
While some residents say they see as many as 14 turkeys at a time, Animal Control says there are two in particular on Megan Lane that are giving residents much grief.
They say some residents have even complained about being chased by the turkeys.
“The turkeys have been accustomed to being fed by people, and they're coming up to people,” said Animal Control Officer Tilford Cobb. “They're looking for food, and they're chasing people.”
Animal Control says they are trying to corral the animals and bring them to another area out of state.
They say if a turkey is chasing you, the best thing to do is to become the aggressor by turning around and chasing them.
