State police take over investigation following fatal shooting
Connecticut State Police have taken over the investigation after police fatally shot a man in New Milford.
It happened Monday afternoon when officers were called to a home on Outlook Road.
There were reports of a disturbance when an armed man with a shotgun ran into the woods behind the house.
Police say when the man came out of the woods, he refused to drop his weapon.
Officers fired on the suspect, who was pronounced dead at Danbury Hospital.
The name of the suspect has not been released.
