New Haven man accused of attempted carjacking in Milford

Posted: Updated:
MILFORD -

A man from New Haven is behind bars and is facing a long list of charges after an attempted carjacking in Milford.

It happened Wednesday evening in the parking lot of the Howard Johnson Motel.

According to police, they heard a woman screaming as Eric Lewis leaned into her car.

Police say they used a stun gun after Lewis supposedly fought back, but it had little effect because he was allegedly under the influence of drugs.

Lewis is charged with assault on a police officer as well as attempted carjacking.
