BRIDGEPORT -

Bridgeport police are asking for the public's help tracking down the gunman in a shooting that sent a man to the hospital.

The shooting happened on Ellsworth Street in the parking lot behind the Borroughs Community Center around 11 p.m. Friday.

Investigators say a female witness told them her ex-husband was trying to pull her out of a car when someone shot the man in the neck and arm, breaking his hold on the woman who was then able to run for help.

Officials say the woman claims the victim, from whom she recently separated, has been stalking her.

Police say his injuries were not considered to be life-threatening.
