MILFORD -

A man from Meriden has been arrested after police say he lead them on a chase from Milford all the way to New Haven before finally being caught.

It started Saturday when Milford police attempted to stop Joel Cruz for not using a signal when changing lanes.

According to police, Cruz refused to stop.

Police say while they chased Cruz, he began throwing things from the window onto I-95.

Drug sniffing K-9s eventually found 1 kilo of cocaine on the shoulder, near Exit 44.

When Cruz was finally stopped in New Haven, police found $20,000 in the car.
