State police release numbers during Labor Day weekend

Connecticut State Police’s Labor Day Weekend crackdown came to an end late Tuesday night, and the numbers are in.
Police handed out more than a 1,000 speeding tickets since Friday night, and ticketed another 2,400 people for various violations, such as texting and driving.
Police also charged 44 people with DUI.
The extra patrols ended at midnight.
