Vitamin World plans to file for bankruptcy protection from creditors.

The vitamin store chain has 345 stores in all, including locations at Danbury Fair, Westfield Trumbull and the Connecticut Post mall in Milford.

According to the CEO, the move will help them serve their loyal customers better.
