FAIRFIELD -

Two sisters from Fairfield hoping to get the word out about a unique workout are gaining popularity in southwestern Connecticut.

The Bar Method studios in Westport is officially opening.

"Bar" is a one-hour low impact total workout combining ballet, yoga, strength training and pilates.

According to co-owner Bridget McBride, she's excited to be part of the Westport community

“It’s been an amazing response from the Westport community,” says Mcbride. “We've gotten a lot of support even though we're only a little bit farther down 95 from Fairfield. We really feel like this is a brand new community for us, and we're really excited to be ensconced in it.”

McBride and her sister also own another Bar Method studio in Fairfield.
