Officials: Speed, fatigue may have factored in deadly crash

BRIDGEPORT -

Bridgeport police say speed and fatigue may have played a role in a fatal car crash.

The accident happened on Dewey Street Thursday night.

City officials say a 26-year-old driver may have been speeding and fallen asleep before crashing into a utility pole.

A 61-year-old male passenger died as a result of the crash and a 43-year-old woman is reportedly in stable condition.
