A Darien dad accused of selling drugs and alcohol to kids as young as 12 -- and even using cocaine with teens -- was arraigned for the second and third time on such charges Tuesday.
Police accuse Mark Yarish, 51, of selling marijuana, alcohol and tobacco products to kids almost every day since December. He was arrested first in July on similar charges, when a local mother recorded a phone call with Yarish about her son and went to police, authorities say.
According to court documents, the mother told Yarish during the call that she learned when looking through her son's text messages that he had been buying beer for the boy.
"He said it was OK from you," Yarish allegedly responded.
Yarish was arrested a second time earlier this month for the alleged cocaine incident, which another child's mother said she saw on video sent to her son. He was arraigned on that charge and the latest charge Tuesday.
Police say Yarish would accept orders through phone calls and text messages, then sell the products to the kids at a substantial markup. They also say two of his own kids, ages 14 and 17,  helped but never profited. They are not facing charges.
A judge set bond at $250,000.
