NORWALK -

Parts of western Connecticut are no longer under tropical storm watches as Jose continues to move north over the Atlantic, churning up dangerous surf and rip currents along the East Coast.

Jose was located overnight less than 400 miles south of Nantucket, Massachusetts, with winds of 75 mph.

Southern Fairfield and New Haven counties are under coastal flood advisories for this morning’s high tide cycle, as a storm surge of 1.5 feet is possible.
