Young girl struck by foul ball at Yankee Stadium
The baseball game between the New York Yankees and Minnesota Twins was briefly delayed Wednesday in the 5th inning when a foul ball down the third-base line off the bat of Todd Frazier struck a young girl.
The girl was carried out of the stands and taken to a hospital.
The protective netting at Yankee Stadium ends at the home plate side of each dugout.
The team said back in July it’s "seriously exploring" extending the netting for 2018.
The Associated Press wire services helped contribute to this report.
