Russia unsuccessfully attempted to hack into Connecticut's online voter registration system last year, according to a spokesperson for the Secretary of the State's office.
Officials say the finding came from the Department of Homeland Security as part of the ongoing national investigation into Russian meddling.
The DHS says hackers targeted 21 states.
The office of the Secretary of the State says it was aware someone had scanned the system at the time, but didn't know it was Russia.
