STAMFORD -

Firefighters in Stamford are contributing to a relief effort for the devastation storm victims in the United States and internationally are experiencing.

They're out at several intersections in Stamford, asking people to fill a boot with donations. The money will go toward numerous organizations including Americares and the IAFF Firefighter Disaster Relief Fund.

Firefighters are also holding another fundraiser at the Sign of the Whale restaurant with music, food and raffles.
