Twelve units from the Stamford Fire Department responded to a fire that ripped through a home in Stamford Monday evening.
Firefighters say they believe the fire started inside 50 Alden St. around 5 p.m. and eventually spread to 46 Alden St.
Another home - 46 Wright St. - sustained fire damage as well.
Initial reports said that people were trapped inside 46 Alden St., but firefighters say everyone was out of the building by the time they got to the home.
Five firefighters and two civilians walked to Stamford Hospital for heat-related issues but they are expected to be OK.
