Police: Man confronted, attacked by thief trying to take his car

Police in Fairfield say a man was confronted by a thief trying to take his car, and then attacked.

It happened Monday night at the Bed, Bath, and Beyond.

According to the victim, he was leaving work when he noticed someone trying to take his car.

He says the suspect got out of the car and into a nearby truck.

The victim grabbed on to the truck and was thrown to the ground.

The truck is described as a black Ford F-250 pickup truck with New York plates.
