Police say a motorcyclist was injured during an accident on the I-95 in New Haven.

The crash happened in the overnight hours before the Sawmill Road exit on the southbound side of I-95.

Authorities say the motorcyclist hit the median and spun out of control.

The driver is being treated at Yale New Haven Hospital for a severe head injury.
