Thousands pack Westport park for Chowdafest
Thousands of people packed Sherwood Island State Park in Westport Sunday for an annual chowder championship.
More than three dozen competitors were vying to win the Chowdafest.
The event features competitors from around New England looking to win prizes in five categories.
While the cooks may sweat for prizes, eaters say they were the real winners.
Proceeds from Chowdafest benefit Food Rescue U.S., an organization that fights hunger.
