Beardsley Zoo in Bridgeport unveils new butterfly garden, bug hotel

BRIDGEPORT -

The Beardsley Zoo in Bridgeport is unveiling its latest installation, a butterfly garden and bug hotel.

The bug hotel is designed as a place for egg laying for a variety of insects, including ladybugs, moths and bees.

The garden is a gift from Stacey Marcell, her husband Wilbert Frazier, and their company.

It includes a variety of plants that both caterpillars and butterflies like, hoping to help the area's native butterfly population.
