A motorcyclist lost control of his bike and slammed into a tow truck in a crash that was caught on camera.
The crash happened around 4:50 p.m. Thursday on North Avenue in Bridgeport.
Workers from the nearby M&M Auto Repair rushed outside after the crash and found a crowd surrounding 38-year-old Dwayne Halsall, who was partially on the sidewalk and also underneath a flatbed tow truck.
Footage from the repair shop shows a white car turning into the business, with a motorcycle racing past the car, nearly clipping it. The bike then hits the street and slides under the truck, along with Halsall.
Igor Leao, of M&M Auto Repair, says he watched video of the crash over and over, marveling at how Halsall actually separated from the bike and then slid away from it, coming to rest beneath the flatbed.
Police say investigators will carefully examine every frame of video, studying the impact and the seconds leading up to it.
Police say Halsall was in serious condition.
