HARWINTON -

State police arrested a man they say helped dispose of the body of a dead baby in a Harwinton reservoir.

Officials say Benjamin Edgerly turned himself in Friday. A warrant was out for his arrest.

Troopers were called to the reservoir on March 21 after a baby's body was found in a bag.

It is unknown how the baby got in the bag or if the child was related to the suspect.

Edgerly is charged with illegal disposal of a dead body and conspiracy to conceal the delivery of a newborn.
