Student confesses to drawing swastika in Wilton

The vandal who drew a swastika graffiti in a boys' bathroom at Middlebrook School in Wilton last week came forward to school officials, administrators say.
In a letter home to parents Friday, the principal wrote that the student did not intend "a message of hate," although the symbol is clearly tied to anti-Semitism.
"The student was not personally intending to make an anti-Semitic statement," the letter reads. "Of course, this in no way decreases the negative impact this has had on our school community."
The school says it will work with the Anti-Defamation League and other Jewish leaders moving forward.
