Police are searching for a serial bank robber behind at least eight holdups over the last 11 months in Nassau County.
According to authorities, a Chase Bank in Elmont was hit three times, most recently at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Earlier in the day, police say the same man robbed a Bank of America in Westbury.
Police say the suspected robber also hit two different Chase banks in Hempstead on multiple occasions.
According to police, during these incidents the suspect handed a note to the teller demanding cash, claiming that he's armed and that he will shoot people if he doesn't get the money.
Detectives request anyone with information regarding these crimes to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
