Police manhunt rattles quiet neighborhood in Westport

A police manhunt rattled a quiet neighborhood over the weekend in Westport, and it was all in broad daylight.
It happened Saturday morning around 11 a.m. after a traffic stop on Bridge Street.
The suspect, Dahonta Robert-Hilliard, 27, of Bridgeport, is facing several charges, including weapon charges.
According to police, Robert-Hilliard had a gun as he ran from them.
Police say they initially pulled him over because his license plate was registered to another vehicle.
When Robert-Hilliard got out of the car, he ran from police, eventually dropping the gun.
People in the area were told to stay in their homes during the search.
Robert-Hilliard was ultimately tracked down by a K-9 in the shed of someone's backyard.
Police say the incident cost him a few minor injuries after the K-9 bit him.
He was being held on a $250,000 bond.
