NORWALK -

General Electric may soon be cutting thousands of jobs.

Norwalk is home to one of its buildings, and News 12 talked to Mayor Harry Rilling about how it could potentially impact the community.

“Well certainly it would not be something we would welcome,” says Rilling. “It would hurt our economy, we would lose some of our some of the people that live in Norwalk and work for GE might lose their jobs.”

Other rivals are planning thousands of layoffs.
