NORWALK -

Norwalk police are searching for the people responsible for stealing hundreds of pieces of copper from the seasonal ice rink currently being built at Veterans Park.

Police say someone broke into the SoNo Ice House rink and stole 700 pieces of copper.

They say the thieves also caused damage to the attached pipes as a result.

The rink was scheduled to open this week, but is now delayed for a few weeks until the repairs can be made.
