Police say two men were killed in two separate Suffolk hit-and-run crashes in less than 12 hours, and now the search is on for the drivers who fled.
Authorities say a man on a bicycle was fatally struck in East Patchogue Saturday.
The body of 63-year-old William Griffin was discovered on Falcon Avenue around 6:30 p.m., according to police.
And in Brentwood, investigators say a pedestrian was struck as he crossed Second Avenue near Seventh Street around 3:15 a.m. Sunday.
The victim in that case, 56-year-old Brentwood resident Fredy Rivera-Bravo, was taken to Southside Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Descriptions of the vehicles involved were not immediately available.
Detectives are urging anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-220-TIPS.
