Technical school holds community meal for Thanksgiving

A community meal was held Thursday in Torrington that has become a beloved tradition.
The Oliver Walcott Technical School served up Thanksgiving dinner to more than 400 people, a tradition that has been happening for more than 30 years.
The students at the school are also being trained for culinary careers.
Senior Emily Engel has been helping out on Thanksgiving for four years.
"I just feel great helping out and making people feel better. It's a really good thing," she says.
A lot of the people who come to the dinner in need, so there are bags of food to take home with positive messages.
