White House correspondent charged following altercation at UConn

A Washington correspondent for a conservative blog was arrested Tuesday night following a melee during his speech to UConn students titled, "It's OK to be White."
Lucian Wintrich, of the Gateway Pundit, is facing a breach of peace charge after grabbing a woman who appeared to take his speech from a lectern and started to walk away.
The event, hosted by the UConn College Republicans, was captured on many cellphone videos and posted online.
Police quickly stepped in and took him away. A spokeswoman for the University says Wintrich was released from police custody Tuesday night.
A UConn student was also charged with breach of peace along with criminal mischief for allegedly breaking a window as people were leaving the event. That student has also been released.
Gov. Dannel Malloy spoke about the incident Wednesday.
"I think No. 1, it's important that we have an exchange of ideas, even those ideas that we don't like on college campuses…No. 2, we should not be providing stages for people to be racist," said the governor.
Wintrich tweeted in response: "It's really unfortunate that some of the kids at UConn felt the need to be violent and disruptive during a speech that focused on how the leftist media is turning Americans against each other. Tonight proved my point."
UConn's president Susan Herbst said "this was a disappointing evening" adding that "we are better than this."
Officials are currently reviewing videos to determine whether they will make any more arrests.
Wintrich announced Wednesday afternoon he plans to seek legal justice against the woman who took the paper off the podium as well as the school.
