Fairfield Christmas Tree Festival returns for 35th year

FAIRFIELD -

An annual holiday tradition is back in Fairfield for its 35th year.

Organizers at the historic Burr Homestead were putting the finishing touches on this year's Fairfield Christmas Tree Festival Thursday.

Volunteers were preparing more than 200 wreaths that will be for sale. There's dozens of Christmas decorations also for sale.

All proceeds will benefit the Bridgeport Rescue Mission this year.

Over the four-day event, there will be hip-hop lessons, a performance by the New England Ballet Company, and the kids, like every year, can get their picture taken with Santa.
