'Tis the Season: 22nd annual Charles Dickens Festival in Port Jefferson

The Village of Port Jefferson is once again magically transforming into the Charles Dickens era with streets filled with roaming characters such as Father Christmas, Scrooge, the town crier and the beloved chimney sweeps.
The 22nd annual Charles Dickens Festival is being held Dec. 2 and 3 throughout the village, and News 12 Long Island's Erin Colton got a preview.
The events are open to the public, and most attractions are free.
This year's event will feature many favorites, including ice skating at the Village Center, a cappella performances by choirs and harmony groups, 'The Nutcracker' performances, magic shows and many musical performances by area musicians.
This year, the festival will also feature Theatre Three's production of 'A Christmas Carol.'
