Long Islander among hero officers credited with taking down suspected bomber

A Long Islander was among the Port Authority police officers who helped take down the suspected bomber in New York City this morning.
Officer Jack Collins is one of four officers who arrested the suspect.
Officer Anthony Manferdini was on patrol when the bomb went off and ran toward the blast. Officials say Manferdini saw the suspect on the ground, reaching for his cellphone with wires coming out of his jacket.
Manferdini secured the suspect and then was assisted by officers Collins, Sean Gallagher and Drew Preston.
