The Department of Public Health has classified flu activity in Connecticut as "widespread," which means there have been outbreaks of influenza in at least half of the state.
It makes Connecticut one of 12 states in the country with widespread flu activity.
More than 250 people have been diagnosed with the flu, and at least one person has died.
