Christmas came early Monday for a little girl from Newtown whose one wish is for everyone at Maria Fareri Hospital to receive a gift this year.
Zoey Seferi, 5, says she wished for everyone at the hospital in Westchester County to receive a Christmas gift. The little girl has to go several times a year for treatments for an autoimmune disorder.
Zoey’s wish came true when she and her mom, Amanda Seferi, walked into Danbury Kia to purchase a new SUV.
"We asked Zoey what she wanted for Christmas, and Zoey told us she wanted everyone in the hospital she goes to get a Christmas gift, and it just pulled at our heartstrings," says Danbury Kia General Sale Manager Sal Sinardi.
Danbury Kia collected toys in their showroom the past couple of weeks and filled up a van with those toys to deliver to kids in the hospital.
Zoey, along with her mom and others, handed out the gifts for about 110 patients in hopes of spreading holiday cheer.
"It brought tears of joy to my eyes that everyone wanted to participate and make sure her wish came true," Amanda Seferi says.
Zoey's family and friends also donated gifts to make her Christmas wish come true.
