Good Samaritans pull woman, 2 kids from Bridgeport fire

Good Samaritans are being credited with saving a woman and two children from a house fire Wednesday night in Bridgeport.
Officials say the fire started around 9 p.m. on the second floor of a multifamily home on Bond Street. It caused extensive damage to a couple rooms and the patio.
Chamon Cabezudo and his cousin, Tyshawn Wright, say they were coming home from work when they saw the flames. They called 911, and then kicked down the door.
"Smoke was all in our face; we really couldn't breathe," Cabezudo says. "We were yelling. Kids started making noise and the girls started crying and we came outside."
The pair says they then saw an elderly woman through a window, so they went back inside to help her too.
The Red Cross is assisting a handful of people displaced by the fire.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
