Gov. Dannel Malloy says the state is awarding $31 million in grants to a total of 10 communities for affordable housing.
Norwalk will receive nearly $5 million for the renovation of the 86-unit St. Paul's Flax Hill Co-op.
Trumbull will use $5.2 million for major upgrades at Stern Village apartments, which has 186 units.
The governor says affordable housing policies make Connecticut a more attractive place to live and work.
He says they also provide stability to Connecticut's most vulnerable citizens.
