Bitter cold greets returning students at bus stops after holiday break

Tuesday marked a return to school for Connecticut students after their holiday break.
Students at the bus stop on Broad Street in Norwalk were greeted by the bitterly cold temperatures for the first time since the cold snap made its way to the region.
Brien McMahon High School sophomore Nicole Andruchow may not have been as bundled up as some others at her stop, wearing a jacket and fleece, but she kept warm inside her mother's car while waiting for the bus.
"I always stay in the car because it's colder in the mornings," she said.
The bitter-cold conditions are expected to last through the week.
