News 12 monitors Connecticut roads after storm

News 12's Mark Sudol hit the streets of western Connecticut to survey road conditions after Thursday's storm.
Some drivers may be tempted to head out, but local police asked residents to stay inside to let the plow operators do their jobs.
Sudol said plenty of roads were still covered in snow and had developed spots of slippery black ice.
Many plow workers were out on the street Thursday night during snow cleanup. They told News 12 they had been out since the morning and expected to be out for the next 14 hours. The workers said that they appreciate the money, but they were exhausted from moving up to 1 foot of snow in some areas.
Schools in the area will remain closed Friday.
