A new study shows the U.S. has the worst overall child mortality rate when compared to 19 other wealthy nations.
Researchers examined child mortality rates between 1961 and 2010 and found the country's high child death rate was due mostly to infant deaths, automobile accidents and firearm assaults.
Sweden had the lowest child mortality rate.
The study was published in the Journal Health Affairs.
